DMAYE0400WVNA is a 4.0-inch Active Matrix Electrophoretic Display with a 480×800 pixel matrix, a pure reflective optical structure, and bi-stable image retention. Display data is transferred through selectable 3-wire or 4-wire SPI. Separate I²C master pins are provided for reading a compatible external digital temperature sensor.

Interface and Refresh Behavior

The module supports serial write operations for display commands and image data. Select the interface mode in hardware and follow the datasheet timing limits and reference peripheral circuit.

3-Wire / 4-Wire SPI

In 4-wire mode, D/C is a separate control signal. In 3-wire mode, each transfer uses one D/C bit followed by eight data bits.

External Sensor I²C

TSCL and TSDA form an I²C master interface for a digital temperature sensor. They are not specified as the main display-data interface.

BUSY and Reset Signals

BUSYN indicates controller activity. Do not send commands while BUSYN is high. RSTN is the active-low reset input.

Environmental limit: The datasheet specifies indoor operation up to 2,000 lux, operating humidity up to 70% RH, and storage humidity from 30% to 60% RH. Avoid condensation, prolonged sunlight, high humidity, bending, twisting, pressure, and connection changes while the panel is operating.

Is I²C the main display interface?

No. The detailed datasheet specifies 3-wire or 4-wire SPI for display communication. The I²C pins are used to read an external digital temperature sensor.

Does the module include touch?

No touch panel or touch controller is specified in the supplied datasheet. Confirm any separate touch requirement before ordering.

Is the module rated for outdoor use?

The datasheet specifies indoor operation with illuminance up to 2,000 lux. Outdoor exposure or long-term direct sunlight is not covered by the stated operating limits.

Does partial refresh flicker?
