When DM-OLED049-686 is connected to a computer through its adapter, does it display the full desktop by default?

Yes. When DM-OLED049-686 is connected through its adapter, it normally appears as an external display and shows the full desktop by default. Use the operating system’s display settings to choose duplicate or extended-desktop behavior where supported.

How can DM-OLED049-686 be configured to display only a selected pixel region, such as 100 x 100 pixels?

A smaller active image region, such as 100 × 100 pixels, requires a firmware modification to the display or adapter configuration. It cannot be selected through a standard external control in the current configuration.

How can DM-OLED049-686 and the related Micro OLED models be connected to a computer, and when is a custom adapter required?

A USB-C input driver board is available for these Micro OLED models, and an HDMI-input version can be evaluated as a customization. The correct board depends on the exact display model, host output, monocular or binocular setup, and required resolution.

Can ESP32-CAM module with MIPI or MIPI-like interface be used with DM-OLED049-686?

No. The ESP32-CAM’s OV2640 camera interface uses SCCB control and is not a compatible video source for DM-OLED049-686. A suitable video processor and driver board are required to generate the display signal, timing, and initialization.
